Antony Giblin has two decades of experience representing leading Asia and international travel brands, in Australia and Asia. 

His love of sharing Asia holiday experiences stemmed from an initial two-year stint in Vietnam with boutique Asia specialist Travel Indochina. After roles in operations, product and account management, he opened Travel Indochina’s DMC offices in Cambodia. While representing the brand to premium international partner accounts, he trained teams in the delivery of silver-standard customer service, and researched resort and immersive holiday experiences across Southeast Asia. 

In Australia, Antony has had business development and management roles at Cox & Kings, Abercrombie & Kent, Insider Journeys and Helloworld Ltd. These roles expanded his network of contacts at agencies, wholesalers, tour operators, schools, MICE specialists, and digital distributors.  They also developed a thorough destination and resort knowledge for the Indian subcontinent, and Japan. 

Antony has also lived in Laos for four years, where he represented a DMC brand, and (in an earlier life) in Japan for two years, where he taught English,  operated homestays, and raised money for a house-building charity in the Philippines.

Recently, Antony has worked with the Asialink Business consultancy, giving him insights into market entry strategies, and new technologies for the delivery of effective training and brand promotion.

Most representation services Antony has worked with in the past seemed to lack service-focus, weren’t selective with the clients they represented, or weren’t using modern training technologies … so he started ConnectionsReps.
